Properties of dispersed fibers for efficient concrete reinforcement

نویسندگان

چکیده

The question of increasing the reliability and durability reinforced concrete structures is a priority. One ways to increase strength using dispersed reinforcement. interest fiber-reinforced in Russia, as well Europe, Asia USA has increased significantly recent ten years. improvement physical mechanical properties noted depend on reinforcement parameters, such volume content fiber, characteristics reinforcement, structure matrix, etc. Authors consider various types fibers for specifically polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon, acrylic, polyester, cotton, asbestos, glass, basalt, steel, carbon. Description main advantages disadvantages each type fiber given. Comparative are presented terms density, tensile strength, modulus elasticity, elongation at fracture materials used manufacture fiber. influence crack under impact loads studied. Analytical review existing works found that it possible achieve significant axial compression, tension, tension bending, shear compared ordinary heavy concrete.

Influence of Nano-silica and Polypropylene Fibers on Bond Strength of Reinforcement and Structural Lightweight Concrete (RESEARCH NOTE)

In this study, first by surveythe parameters affecting the compressive strength, such as water to cement ratio, cementgrade, silica fume to cement percentage, and the various ratios oflight weight aggregate LECA, to total aggregate, Taguchi method is used, to test 9 mix designsobtained the mix design optimization. Since lightweight concrete is brittle like normal concrete, to resolve this probl...

Investigating the Effects of Nanoclay and Nylon Fibers on the Mechanical Properties of Asphalt Concrete

This paper describes the effects of reinforcement by randomly distributed nylon fibers and addition of nanoclay on some engineering properties of a typical asphalt concrete. The properties of asphalt concrete reinforced by different percentages of 25 mm nylon fibers have been compared with those of the mixtures containing different percentages of nanoclay and those in which both the fibers and ...
